The weather may have been damp but it couldn't dampen our spirits as an intrepid few made it to Gigha and fewer still stuck it out for the weekend and were rewarded with time to explore the island on foot rather than by air. Good company and always good fun - what microlighting is all about.
About to touch down, once more, on Gigha
Well done to newly qualified Mike and Tony, looking happy having just landed on Gigha on their first EOSM club trip
Rookie Eddie uses whatever container he can to grab a refreshment on landing
All safely on and with perfect timing the sun comes out and the temperature ramps up
Stuart has to leave early and gets good height before the end of the runway
Heading down to the Boathouse for dinner
A damp Saturday morning, but Achamore Gardens still colourful even on a dreich day
No view from the Achamore viewpoint today - how did Kim become taller than me? Clue: there's a picnic table involved!
No Paxton's scrapyard here. Old vehicle slowly being consumed into the landscape
Lunch on top of Creag Bhan - Gigha's highest point - looking north towards the twin beaches sheltering under the low cloud that stopped us flying
I took care of domestics (for once) and have our laundry out to dry
The motley crew at dinner in the Gigha Hotel
Squeaking through the clouds to see if Tarbert offered an escape route home
