Bidean nam Bian, Glencoe. It's been on my to do list for years, no, decades, and finally got round to it today. A great day on the hills with very mixed weather - half the time sunshine and great viz, the other half snow and whiteout.

Nearly at the top of the exciting cornice

Grateful for previous climbers' footsteps - saved having to bother with crampons

Made it. Phew.

Douglas with a couple more steps to go

Cresting the cornice, way above the Lost Valley

Almost safe now - felt much steeper than it looks in the photos

One of our overtakees about to reach the top of the cornice. To give some idea of scale

On the summit of Stob Coire Sgreamhach

View to Bidean Nam Bian and Stob Coire Nan Lochan - our next two tops, from Stob Coire Sgreamhach. Next snow shower piling in from the far left

Descending back to the coll - Bidean beckons majestically beyond

View over the Lost Valley to the Aonoch Eagach

Out of another snow storm into the sun - Douglas climbing Stob Coire Nan Lochan

Me climbing the final summit of the day - Stob Coire Nan Lochan

View back to our first Munro - Stob Coire Sgreamhach
