Glasgow City Centre

Two nights campervanning in Glasgow city centre primarily to visit the Campervan trade show at the SEC but we also wandered the Gallery of Modern Art, the Kelvingrove Museum, the Modernist app's Glasgow West End tour and the Tenement House.

Paradiski 2026

Two fantastic days in Les Arcs and La Plagne with far less snow than normal but pistes in absolutely perfect hard and fast condition. Lovely sunshine, albeit extremely cold temperatures which took some managing. Unfortunately it all ended prematurely with an innocuous slow speed slip at the very end of the long run down into the village resulting in a torn calf muscle when the ski tip dug in. James, therefore, had to head out into the snowy conditions on the last day alone.

Red

We used another city centre campervan overnighter to visit the "Alfred Buckham - Daredevil (Aerial) Photographer" exhibition in the National Portrait Gallery. The exhibition was excellent with his stories and anecdotes as entertaining as the aerial photography itself. After that, but before a refreshment and a bite, we wandered the city for a while and it quickly became evident that "red" would be the theme. It happened to be the day between Remembrance Sunday and Remembrance Day and the city was illuminated in red. A decent autumn sunset added yet more.
