Gullane House Build / Nostalgia

"Graeme and Kim wanted a house, not a project.
But while scrolling through property listings in Gullane, they spotted an unloved plot. Apparently, it had been sitting there for a while. Most people had passed on it; no-one wanted to deal with the hassle of protected trees in a conservation area. Graeme and Kim looked at it differently.
Four years later — after Covid delays and a challenging build — they moved into Langskail.
It’s a long, low house that faces almost due south. The sun follows them from room to room throughout the day. The sliding windows disappear entirely into the walls, leaving nothing between the house and the green.
The house was designed by Richard Murphy, a friend of 25 years — someone who knew exactly how they lived. That, they’ll tell you, makes all the difference."

These are our words, as interpreted by the Flim makers "Nostalgia", who made a short film about the house and how we live in it. Their webpage is here www.getnostalgia.com/long-house-gullane/ and their short film - it's only 8 minutes long - can be watched here on Youtube: youtu.be/Vyv-aJu4XRY?si=Ys9i0GQXJXFFjwxx
